Within Tarantino’s film-making career he has received many awards for his unique take on making movies.
At the 4th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in 1993, ‘Reservoir Dogs’ was presented with the Critic’s Award. In 1994 at the Cannes Film Festival his film ‘Pulp Fiction’ was awarded the ‘Palme d’Or’. It was also nominated for seven Oscars and went on to win Best Original Screenplay, this award shared by Tarantino and Roger Avary his friend and co-writer.
At the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards in 2005, Tarantino was presented with the Icon of the Decade award.
The awards seemed set to continue pouring in for Tarantino as in 2007, the president of the Philippines gave him a lifetime achievement award in Manila. [Read more...]
